Posted By djdoris On Tuesday, May 24th 2011 In Phuket Health Tip, News, Hotels and informationA few days of parties and functions not exactly a great training regime I must admit!
Im blaming my old running shoes!
been trying to fit as much power walking/jogging /running as possible and as per usual as the date gets even closer the more nervous one becomes, or is that just me.
I promised myself no more excuses and HAVE to make a concerted effort so not to finish last…………AGAIN.
till next time the doris signing out…..
Another health tip I’ve discovered…
Posted By He That Doesn't On Saturday, May 21st 2011 In Phuket Health Tip, News, Hotels and informationHi Guys, I wanted to share this with you before this weeks Breakfast show feature on Phuket Pulse this Wednesday, I was told this a while ago and it makes perfect sense to me, you can let me know your thoughts on 08 9000 40 4o….
As humans we can go around 2 weeks without food before we die, we can go 2 days without water before we die…. and we can go 2 minutes without oxygen before we die, so in that order THE most important element to have in our bodies daily is Oxygen, and the best way to get that in is to exercise on a daily basis, even if it is as little as a walk whilst breathing deeply and filling our lungs, its so important and will add to our lives
After that, focus on the 70% water based diet I mentioned a couple of posts ago down the page on here, and then of course eat quality nutricious food.
Taking care of our bodies gives us great health, great health gives us great energy, and great energy is life, onwards and upwards my friends, sent with love, thank you, Mark

A brief history….
Posted By He That Doesn't On Saturday, May 21st 2011 In Phuket Health Tip, News, Hotels and informationI always loved music from an early age, if you’d have asked me back then it was only music or football as a career choice, and as I was a shockingly bad footballer there was really only one choice!
So Music it was, and boy I was determined, I loved DJing and bought myself some decks, I practiced every day and saw myself standing up there playing my tunes every time I went to a night club, it was this vision and determination that saw me making a name and a career for myself that spanned 65 countries and a residemcy at Ministry of Sound. To market myself I became a Record Producer as well and had a Top 10 hit with Lou Reed & David Bowie- Satellite of Love (Dab Hands Remix) in 2004.
All this was amazing & I had all the trappings of an international jet set DJ, you name it & it was happening!
Then one day, for no reason, I physically collapsed, my leg just gave way beneath me, I had no idea what happened but I was on the floor, thank goodness my brother was there to help me up.
There was no explanation for what happened, and things got stranger and stranger as over the next 18 months as my entire body began to seize up, I became unable to walk and getting out of a chair became a mission in itself, I was in great pain, I lived off painkillers that wore off every 3 hours meaning I couldn’t even sleep at night, when I did wake up I couldn’t put any weight on my feet as they felt like they were on fire, it was a terrible time.
Cutting a long story short I went into a terrible depression and had many very difficult thoughts to deal with. Then one day Tony Robbins & Bob Proctor were introduced into my life. They gave me some precious information, and I began to study with many many people who had also studied wise people down the ages, I began to gain more and more information, during this time a Doctor finally managed to inform me I had an ‘incurable Rheumatic disease’ and prescribed me drugs saying ‘take these for the next 30 years and you’ll be OK’.
My studies were beginning to lead me to a greater understanding of myself though, of our conscious & sub-conscious minds, about how to be, how to succeed & how to live a happy, healthy & wealthy life.
That was 7 years ago & I have never looked back, in the last 3 years I have stopped taking any medication and have run 4 full marathons (London three times & Berlin once) plus numerous half-marathons and am looking forward to the Phuket Half on Sunday June 12th.
I will share more info on here on some of the things I have learnt, you can see one of them in my last post I put up, in the meantime I wish you all health, wealth and happiness, and thank you for reading.
