I’ve been training pretty hard this week and am aching all over from a fairly lengthy run last night but it’s all been worth it.
I had to go for a medical so I could get membership at my local swimming pool and pay greatly reduced costs for swimming. I went along to the same clinic I used when I had to have my medical for my job at 91.5FM and they still had my details on record.
They re-weighed me and, to my pleasant surprise, I’d lost 6.5kg in the last 7 months or so – not a huge amount but still fairly significant.
I also believe my muscle mass is significantly greater than it was back then and, as they say, muscle weighs more than fat, so happy days!
Still couldn’t break that blasted 32 minute barrier for the 1.8km swim but I will persevere and get it down to 30mins before November…..
I put in a good stint on the road yesterday, runnning 14km in a fairly decent time – definitely helped by running with music although I think I have buggered up my headphones….
A well deserved rest today before a bike ride tomorrow, weather permitting…..
